In Windows 8 and 8.1 both, when you delete a file or folder, the file or folder moves to Recycle Bin, but in older versions of Windows, users were asked before moving the file to Recycle Bin.

It is not a problem but some non tech savvy users find problem. Though you can always search for files and folders on your Recycle Bin.

How to get delete confirmation dialog box back?
- Right Click on the Recycle Bin icon or Right Click on the Recycle Bin window.
- Select Properties.
- Check the Display delete confirmation dialog.
- Click OK.
